Non Woven Machinery and Technology

Non Woven Machinery and Technology

Non Woven are highly engineered fabrics, where in fibres or polymer is directly converted into the form of a fabric, which is widely used for technical applications like Automobiles, Geotextiles, Filtration, floor coverings, insulation and many other end usages. Among others, needle punching technology is  the most versatile and established technology for the production of non wovens.

Needle punching process is a continuous process where fibres are first opened and a web is formed through Card and Cross Lapper Machine, a thick web is then needle punched to ensure the proper interlocking of the fibres to form a usable non woven fabric.

Geotextiles, artificial or synthetic leather substrate, automotive interiors, filteration products and roof liners are a few very commonly known applications of needle-punch non-woven products.

Non Wovens are slowly entering into the domain of traditional textiles and, specially when the world is looking for disposable but environment friendly textiles for various applications in the field of Hygiene and health care, personal protection, cleaning cloths etc etc.
